House teams
Building connections, creating memories - our events and teams in action
House Events and Teams at Dawn House School:
At Dawn House School, our House Teams are a core part of the school experience, creating opportunities for students to engage, collaborate, and thrive together.
We have six teams:
- Sharks
- Bears
- Bulls
- Tigers
- Eagles
- Lions
Each of which is made up of pupils from Primary through to 6th Form, as well as staff members. These teams were thoughtfully selected by our pupil leadership groups, ensuring a sense of belonging and unity across all year groups. Every student is assigned to a team, allowing them to build relationships with peers and staff alike, while participating in a variety of exciting and inclusive events throughout the academic year.
Throughout the year, students participate in six House events that are designed to encourage teamwork, communication, and positive engagement. From Winter and Summer Sports Days to Make and Create, Investigate (STEM), and more, each event has a unique theme that sparks creativity, friendly competition, and the development of essential life skills.
Teams earn points based on how well they collaborate, communicate, and support one another during these events. This not only fosters school spirit but also helps our students develop a strong sense of responsibility, pride, and connection within their House. Through these experiences, pupils learn the value of working together towards a common goal, while celebrating their achievements as part of a wider community.
