Our vision: Working towards successful futures
Where did that week go?!
Parents Day and the Christmas fayre was a roaring success last Saturday. Please do return your feedback forms about the event, so that we can be sure to take into account your thoughts and ideas for next year. Your feedback from last year ensured that there were sufficient chairs in the corridors for when you were waiting for appointments – so thank you!
A big thank you too to our catering team- if you had a turkey and stuffing roll, you’ll know they were spot on and absolutely delicious!
I’ll report back on all of the trips taking part at the moment next week- it is such a busy time of year.
This year’s Shakespeare schools festival film is The Tempest. Our version is set in the future and has a Sci-Fi theme. The short film involves Key stages 3/4/5 and original music composed and played by a Key stage 3 Chimes student. The festival is International this year and watch out for the best of the festival film next week on their website, details are on the school’s website and on Facebook.
The Pupil Leadership Group met this week and gave us some great insight into everyday life and their likes and (not so many) dislikes about school. Please see what they had to say here…
Today we are hosting our 50th Anniversary School reunion. We anticipate over a hundred previous pupils and staff visitors to join us for afternoon tea, tours and to share their stories of their journeys since leaving Dawn House. We have a photo booth in place and are getting views on what will make it into our time capsule! I’m sure it will be a lovely evening.
Our usual staff briefing this afternoon will see the spinning of our Advent wheel- who will be todays lucky winner…??!
Have a great weekend,
Jenny
