Happy Red Nose Day from Dawn House School!
A relatively low key but fun and red day here today. The cake stall sold out after break, we’ve got about 5 red noses left to sell and our RND video is all ready, showing staff and children’s talents (or otherwise!). This is to be shared with ‘everyone everywhere’ in Speech and Language UK who have been invited to join our briefing and join in the kind of fun that we are lucky to have in schools on days like this. Even Jane Harris, our Chief Exec gets to tell her favourite joke! It’s a corker!
This week we excitedly await photos and stories from the 6th Form Robin Hoods Bay trip which was another successful residential.
On Tuesday, some of the KS4 and 5 motor vehicle maintenance group had a fabulous day at a Donnington Park exclusive event. From Supercars to old classic cars, there were hundreds, who also did laps on the track for us to watch. Graypaul Ferrari dealership even let our group sit in their brand-new Ferraris from the showroom and start some of them up! As you might be able to tell, this is a real interest of mine (particularly the old cars), so I felt very fortunate to be able to join the group on this trip. I’m still not quite sure who was more excited!

We hope that at out next Family Fun Day, we may have some of these cars to look at, at Dawn House School!
In other exciting news, the sister of one of our past pupils, Joel Geary, is running the Manchester Marathon and is raising money for Dawn House School! You can support her through the JustGiving link below…lets see if we can help her exceed her target! Thank you and GOOD LUCK Daisy!
Short and sweet this week! Two school weeks until the Easter holidays,
Have a good weekend everyone,
Jenny
