Persuasive Power Wins KS5 Pupils a Trip to Magna!

KS5 Group 1 proved that the power of persuasion can open doors – quite literally! As part of their Speaking and Listening qualification, the students crafted compelling arguments to Mrs. McConnell and Mr. Norman, outlining the benefits of a visit to Magna Science Adventure Centre in Sheffield. Their well-structured points and confident delivery paid off, as they successfully secured permission for the trip!

Today, they explored the wonders of science, engaging with interactive exhibits on fire, water, earth, and air. From feeling the heat of a fire tornado to witnessing the power of water in motion, the visit brought learning to life in an exciting and hands-on way. The trip was not only a reward for their efforts but also an opportunity to develop their communication skills in a real-world setting.

Well done, KS5 Group 1—your voices were heard, and your adventure was earned!
