Future Pathways: 6th Form Pupils Attend ‘What Next?’ Event
Inspiring Futures, Unlocking Potential

On Wednesday 12th February, our 6th Form pupils attended the ‘What Next?’ event at the Arkwright Centre in Chesterfield. This inspiring event is designed to empower young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), helping them explore their future options and plan their next steps with confidence.
Pupils had the opportunity to meet with colleges, training providers, and employers, gaining valuable insights into the pathways available after school. From further education and apprenticeships to supported employment and independent living skills, the event showcased a range of opportunities tailored to individual aspirations.
Our students engaged enthusiastically, asking questions and gathering information to help shape their future plans. Staff were incredibly proud of their confidence and curiosity in exploring what lies ahead.
Events like ‘What Next?’ play a vital role in ensuring our pupils feel informed and supported as they transition into adulthood. A huge thank you to the organisers for putting together such a valuable experience!
