Dawn House School Hosts Pupil Participation Conference for 6th Form Students
Dawn House School is excited to announce a Pupil Participation Conference on Monday, 24th February 2025, specifically designed for our 6th form students. This engaging event offers a variety of workshops and activities aimed at equipping young people with essential skills and knowledge for their future.
The conference, which takes place on an INSET Day for pupils not in 6th form, will be held on the school premises and is free for Dawn House School pupils. We are also opening a limited number of paid spaces to external young people who may benefit from the enriching experience.
Workshops and Activities:
- Careers, CV Writing, Interview Preparation, and Techniques: Gain insights into crafting a compelling CV and acing interviews with confidence.
- Supported Internship Information: Learn about opportunities for gaining work experience through supported internships.
- Team Building: Participate in activities designed to enhance teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Health and Wellbeing: Explore strategies for maintaining mental and physical health.
- PSHE: Focus on critical topics including sexual health, vaping awareness, and online safety.
- Independent Living: Join cooking sessions to develop practical skills for independent living.
For external participants, the cost is £45 per person, which includes refreshments and a light lunch. This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to prepare for adulthood in a supportive and informative setting.
