Pupils Take on Weaseling and Climbing in the Peak District

This week, our outdoor learning options groups have been pushing their limits and embracing the thrill of adventure with weaselling and climbing in the stunning Peak District. Led by The Adventure Service, our pupils had the incredible opportunity to explore, climb, and navigate rocky landscapes, all while developing key skills in teamwork, resilience, and problem-solving.

What is Weaselling?

Weaselling is a unique outdoor activity that involves scrambling through rocky outcrops, squeezing through tight gaps, and maneuvering over natural obstacles. It’s all about agility, coordination, and perseverance—and our pupils certainly rose to the challenge! With encouragement from their instructors and peers, they learned to overcome obstacles, building confidence and trust along the way.

Scaling New Heights

In addition to weaselling, pupils also had the chance to take on climbing challenges, testing their strength, balance, and determination. Scaling rock faces in the Peak District required focus and resilience, and our pupils impressed us with their enthusiasm and willingness to step outside their comfort zones.
