Dawn House School careers event for KS4 and 5!

What a great event today for pupils and parents in KS4 and 5. Attended by a variety of local 6th form and college providers, who all came with some great information (and freebies!) to support our young people in making choices for the future. Keep a look out on our website for photos of the event.

Polite reminders….

Our school day starts at 8.50 and finishes at 3.30 Monday to Thursday and 2.00 on a Friday.

We do ask that children who are not on transition timetables, do arrive at these time s so that the day starts smoothly for them, as this is when staff are available.

Equally, if children are on transition timetables, they should arrive at the agreed times and no earlier as there will be no plan in place to support and teach these children any earlier.

If your child is unwell and unlikely to attend school, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can plan accordingly for the day.

And another…

What amazing results this week from our food room. Smells of cakes, curry and millionaires’ shortbread have filled the corridors and made us all very hungry!

I’m sure many of you will have enjoyed sampling such food at home! Can I just remind you that we do ask for a contribution for ingredients, which you can pay through Weduc.

Key stage 4LC had an interesting trip out this week focussing on local history- so interesting for them to understand some of the history of our local community.
