Exploring the Future: Dawn House Hosts Inspiring Post-16 and 18 Event

Today, we welcomed our Key Stage 4 and 5 pupils to our annual Post-16 & 18 event, designed to help them explore their future options beyond Dawn House School. The morning was filled with valuable opportunities, including informative sessions, visits to our 6th form, and meetings with local providers.

Pupils, alongside their parents and carers, took part in three sessions. They had the chance to tour our 6th form with Ms Dutton and meet with Mr. Norman to discuss the curriculum and what life as a 6th former is like. Additionally, they engaged with a range of local providers to explore potential next steps. Representatives from West Notts College, Landmarks, The Adventure Service, Doncaster Communication College, and more were on hand to offer advice and insight into further education and training opportunities.

Adding to the event, our 6th formers involved in the Golden Threads Project hosted a cake sale, giving attendees a chance to enjoy some delicious treats while supporting a great initiative.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making the event such a success. The careful organisation of the morning ensured a calm and accessible experience for all pupils.
